Commercial & Industrial
New LPG installations are growing rapidly in popularity for commercial and industrial businesses as local environmental issues, particulate emissions, and New Zealand's commitment to agreements such as the Kyoto Protocol play an important role in business planning.
In addition, the cost efficiencies inherent in direct-fired gas equipment are now being given higher priority in new commercial building projects. Government is investigating how to encourage increased direct use of gas and electricity suppliers are encouraging load shifting to reduce the demands on the electricity networks during peak conditions. New "condensing" boiler boilers systems are able to return efficiencies of up to 95% and condensing systems can be retrofitted to many existing boiler systems as future requirments allow.
A number of businesses are 'future-proofing' by having gas pipe work installed at the building stage. Investment in gas reticulation networks continues as gas is seen as a clean, cost effective and desirable fuel. Businesses are seeing LPG as a strategically sensible choice for improving operating costs and as a part of their contribution to cleaner work place and commitment to a cleaner environment.
